Will my yard fit a pool?

You would be surprised on how often we get asked this question. While its hard to answer 100% without seeing the property in person and having a property survey, we have built pools as small as 5’x5’, so most of the time, something can fit.

How long do permits take?

This really depends on the municipality that you live in. Permits in the counties will normally take around 710 days where permits in city limits can take 45 weeks. In some municipalities, such as the Villages, it can take 810 weeks.

How long will construction of my pool take?

This will really depend on the complexity of the project. Most standard backyards will take anywhere from 68 weeks but more complex jobs or jobs with outdoor living projects being built in conjunction with the pool can take 1012 weeks. When meeting with your designer, they will go over exact timelines based on the intricacies of your project.

How much value will a pool add to my home?

We normally see a return of anywhere from 6070% back on your initial investment. What a lot of people do not take into consideration though is that homes that have a pool in the backyard sell much quicker than homes without. So having a pool in the backyard can potentially make your home sell a few months earlier which also means you are not paying your mortgage and utility bills for longer than you need to!

Do you offer financing?

We do not offer any internal financing, but we have multiple partners who offer loans that we work with daily.

What communication should I expect during the process?

There are so many things that we cannot control throughout the pool building process such as weather and supply chain, but one thing we can control is the communication. Upfront, we will make sure to get the main point of contact and preferred contact method and will reach out multiple times per week with updates on your project as it is progressing. You will have the contact info for the salesperson, project manager, and owner in case you have any questions.

Do you offer warranties?

Absolutely! All warranties start on the day of plaster. The pool comes with a lifetime structural warranty and all equipment comes with a threeyear warranty. Learn more.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes. There is no cost for the initial design. We dont want any of our potential customers to feel locked into using us by charging an exorbitant upfront fee. We know that if we do our job correctly, you will feel comfortable with using us due to our amazing design abilities and overall knowledge of pools.

How do I make sure I'm choosing the right pool builder for my backyard?

Make sure to have a list of questions ready for your first meeting with the designer. You want to make sure they have a wide knowledge not only on design, but how the pool will operate and function. Make sure they have built pools in your municipality in the past and are familiar with all local codes and regulations.

What are some things that will get damaged or are not thought about that are outside the normal scope of pool work?

Swimming in a pool is fun! Building one can be a slightly more stressful experience. In order to build a pool, we need to bring a bobcat into your backyard to excavate and will have lots of trenching to do with drains and plumbing. For those reasons, items such as grass, sprinklers, existing yard drains, utility lines, concrete in the path of the machine, and sewer lines can be damaged and are not included in the upfront cost of the pool.

Do we need to be home during construction?

Not at all. You can be as involved or uninvolved as you prefer. We do require you to meet with us to approve the pool location before starting and a few times during the build to make sure everything is being built up to your standard. Those meetings typically take no longer than thirty minutes and we can work around your schedule.

How much will my pool cost?

A simple pool only will start in the $60k range and a pool + spa combo will start in the $80k range. But keep in mind, that things such as permits, materials, property restrictions, and feature addons can tack on a lot to those costs.

I am starting construction on a new home, when should we start the project?

As long as the homebuilder allows it, we always recommend starting the construction of a pool project in conjunction with your home being built. Nothing is more frustrating than building a brand new, beautiful home then having the backyard and all grass and sprinklers destroyed once moving in. If we build during the home build, the stress will decrease dramatically because you do not have to deal with the mess. Also, the pool will have a longer time to cure and sit which will increase itsoverall strength.

What upgrades should I invest in?

The options are really limitless when it comes to upgrades on a pool. A lot of the upgrades will be determined on three things: how concerned you are with cost of ownership, how much time you want to spend maintaining your pool, and how much you want to spend up front. With most upgrades, we recommend spending a little more money upfront to save tons of money down the road. We believe really strongly in maintenance items such as UV systems and infloor cleaning systems.

What is the difference between fiberglass and gunite?

Gunite is a mixture of sand and cement that allows us to create a pool in almost any shape and depth whereas a fiberglass pool comes in predetermined shapes that allow no customization. In our market, with our expansive soils, we have seen too many issues on fiberglass pool projects.

Can I have a pool if I have an easement in my backyard?

As long as there is enough space between the easement and the home, there is no issue. Just keep in mind, the pool, pool plumbing, and pool equipment cannot encroach on any utility easement.
